Olkalou Constituency
Mbeere South is one of the 290 constituencies in Kenya and one of the 4 constituencies in Embu County. The constituency is situated 20 kilometres from Embu town. The constituency covers an area of about 1,321 square kilometres, with five wards being Mavuria, Mbeti South, Mwea, Makima and Kiambere. Mbeere South is Arid and Semi-arid characterized by high poverty levels. The arid areas are the most disadvantaged and challenging due to the number of poverty stricken people.
